Static Memories:
- Uses 4- 6 transistors to store one bit of data
 
- Requires more space.
 
- Faster than DRAM
 
- Consumes less power than DRAM
 
- SRAM cell maintains the stored data till the control signal  is given to change the data.
 
- The six  transistor SRAM is shown. A signal applied to the word line (also called as  address line) by the address decoder selects the cell either for Read or Write  operation
 
- The two  bit lines (also called data lines) are used to transfer stored data and its  compliment between the cell and data drivers
